Now there's a striker!
The return of Steven Ferguson to Spurs, after his loan spell, created a gap in the attacking potential of the squad. Terry’s after a new partner for Lehmann.

Candidate number one is former Falkirk striker, Steven Craig. The twenty one year old (son of Joe Craig, Celtic and Scotland) has featured rarely for the Bairns’ and they are said to be keen to move him on.

Next under the managers’ microscope is Soren Larsen. He is a six footer, twenty one and unsettled at Danish champions Brondby, where manager Michael Laudrup feels he is not up to playing in the first team. He is said to be keen to do well and he is aware that he has to create a quick impression. Terry invited him to join the squad for a short trial.

Finally, today’s newspapers have suggested that we are competing with Falkirk to sign Eddie Annand from Ayr. The twenty nine year old has had a relatively poor season with the Honest Men and a move could be the spark needed to help him regain his goalscoring form.

The results of these trials will be known soon as the transfer deadline is at the end of the month. The Cup deadline has already passed so we have to travel to Kilmarnock with the present squad (who should be good enough to see us through to the fourth round J
