Ten games before the split

At the start of the season we were regarded as favourites for the drop. So we can take some satisfaction at reaching mid season a point ahead of United (a team on a ten game run without a win).

Last game of season 2001/2

The next way point in the season will be the split which takes place after Dundee visit Fir Park in mid April. We have ten SPL games to play to that point (including the yet to be arranged outstanding match against Dunfermline). Five homes and five aways will lead us to the five game finale in the bottom six.

The games at Fir Park are against Hibs 8 February, Celtic 15 February, Aberdeen 8 March, Dundee 12 April and Dunfermline TBA. Our away fixtures see us at Killie 29 January, Dundee United 1 February, Hearts 1 March, Rangers 15 March and Dunfermline 5 April.

It may be significant to note Dundee United are away to Hearts and home to Rangers in their last two games before the split. We must fancy our chances at reaching mid April ahead of the Tangerines.
