In a special feature section FirParkCorner looks back to the events of that critical time in the MFC’s history.  A click on the snapshot below opens the door to half a dozen articles that record the event that set the club on the road to recovery.  It lead to the Well Worth Saving campaign, the establishment of the Supporters Trust and eventually the Well Society.

Boyle’s dream of creating the third force and the loss of the $ky TV deal left the club losing, by some estimates, £250,000 a month.  The eventual exit from administration was assured as the owner choose to accept the loss of his £9M investment and now, ten years on, his stated hope that the club should belong to the community is about to be realised.
