Terry praises Dubourdeau

A goalie in top form!
Francois will celebrate his first anniversary with Motherwell by making his eighth appearance of this season against Dunfermline this Saturday.

He was one of Eric Black’s last signings and made his debut against Celtic in a four – nil gubbing last March. He became a regular in the U21 team where he rarely made the headlines.

Stevie Woods’ dip in form at the start of this season gave Dubourdeau his chance. He looks decisive and commanding when he comes for crosses and his shot stopping has contributed to our recent good run.

Terry is quoted in this week’s Wishaw Press saying, “Francois has done extremely well since coming in and it’s certainly good to have a bit of competition between him and Stevie.

“Off the field the two of them are really good friends and Stevie has been a tremendous professional in the way he handled Francois taking his place.

“He has done nothing but encourage him and his attitude has really been spot on.

“Against Dundee Francois pulled off a number of good saves, but he’s been doing this since coming in and it’s good to see that he’s improving with every game.”

Let’s hope he continues the run with a clean sheet on Saturday as he collects his win bonus!

Meanwhile there are reports that our manager is having a second look at 'keeper Ian McCaldon and that Austrailian, Noel Spencer, is also under consieration for the transfer window.  Spencer, a defensive midfielder, could have been a recommendation from Ian Ferguson!
