Terry Takes the Tour

Terry arrived to find an eager press pack waiting at the airport. His comments suggested that a deal was on the cards. He then met the chairman and chief exec and proceeded to take a trip around Aussie Stadium.

He has had talks with the current assistant coach, Ian Crook, and the rest of the football staff.

The chief exec said “At this stage we are happy with the way things are progressing”.

There may be a late twist to the story with Joe Royle's departure from Ipswich creating a vacancy at the one club which could scupper Butcher's plans. Terry has never tried to hide his deep affection for the club he served for many years and he may be faced with a difficult choice if the Tractor Boys come calling.
