Two sign up in time for season opener

The capture of O'Brien is not surprising - he has been with us for nearly all of the pre-season preparations and now he has completed a move from Celtic.

O'Brien will be well seen from here
Details of the fee we have paid, if any, have not been made public but the pacey winger has signed a two-year-deal at Fir Park.

Goalkeeper Nielsen is naturally less well known but has arrived on loan from Blackburn Rovers. He also has the distinction of being an international with the Faroes Islands under 21 side and his initial contract with us is for six months.

It could be questioned why it has taken so long to make a move in the transfer market but instead it is better to focus on the positives. We have strengthened the squad and with a few weeks to go before the window shuts, we have every chance of bringing in more players.

This has given us a good boost before the start of the season so let's hope we make the most of it at Tynecastle tomorrow!
