Prior to their most recent game, against Livingston, the youngsters had lost 1-0 to Dundee and 2-1 to Aberdeen - both games should have been home wins but failure to put the ball in the net cost the points.

On Friday last they played Livingston away and won 2-0. They took an early lead with a header by Kevin Barkey after a great cross from the right wing by John Crawley.

David Clarkson was taken off soon after with an ankle injury.

Andy Scott then scored a beauty with a twenty five yard free kick, curling the ball round the wall to give the keeper no chance.

They never looked under pressure at any time during the game and Ewings only had one save to make in the entire ninety minutes.

The team was: Ewings, McAndie, Crawley, Neville, Quinn, Higgins, Barkey,

Grant(Keough 87), Black, Clarkson (Fitzgerald 20), Scott (Reilly 87)
