U21s triumph at Easter Road

Hibs had a number of over-age players returning from injuries and they had varying fortunes. Garry O’Connor found the net but Freddie Arpinon missed a penalty.

Lasley scored
We had a trialist playing at number nine and he seemed to cause the defence problems. He opened the scoring after beating Caig in a one on one having hit the post moments before.

Hibs equalised before half time when O’Connor thumped in an indirect free kick which had been awarded for a dubious pass back.

Shaun Fagan was booked for some handbags at dawn with Janos Matyus but Shaun had the last laugh, curling home the winner from just outside the box.

We wrapped things up when Lasley scored a similar goal to Fagan in his comeback match. There was still time for Woods to save a penalty in what would be a very pleasing win for Chris McCart and his U21s.

Thanks to the guys at Hibs.net, particularly ‘oconnors_strip’ for the details.
