'Well Season Ticket Gains Cut Price Entry at Kilmarnock

A call to the Killie switchboard gleaned the information that ‘for the only game this season’, the voucher would reduce the entry price to Rugby Park.

Adults will enjoy a four pound reduction giving a price of thirteen pounds while youngsters with a voucher will gain admission for one pound.

While this innovation is to be welcomed and has to be seen as another step forward in cementing our friendly relationship with the Kilmarnock club - remember they agreed to a reduced entry price for our last visit to Rugby Park immediately after John Boyle placed the club in interim administration - serious questions need to be asked about the alarming lack of notification which Fir Park has given to potential travelling fans.

On the one hand we have plenty of exposure in the press to Terry Butcher who makes mention of the wonderful support which saw our 4-1 win at Killie in May. He looks for more of the same today.

But not one mention from anyone at the club that this could be the only occasion when the discount voucher can be used. What a waste of an opportunity to add hundreds to the travelling band of ‘Well fans.

Unfortunately this lack of good PR from the senior management at Motherwell Football Club is becoming all too familiar.

Bryan Jackson is aware that news management is crucial to the future of the club at this critical time in the club’s affairs. He has responsibility for the welfare of the club at the moment this aspect of his administrative role seems to be taking a back seat.
