Who's the best?

Last updated : 02 August 2017 By Firparkcorner

Football fans love the chance to reminisce about their favourites.  The MFC Podcast folk want your help to compile a list of the Greatest MFC post-war players and boost the Well Society coffers at the same time.

C:WindowsTempphp780.tmpIt’s been ten years since Andy Paton was awarded the Greatest Motherwell Player accolade at an event in front of the South Stand.  On that occasion a greatest team was built with the fans voting for the best in each position.

This time the idea is to determine the 25 Greatest MFC post-war players and release the results as the third in the MFC Podcast “Off-Air” series.  A launch date in November is scheduled.

If the quality of the first two publications is any guide then this upcoming effort will form a valued part of any Motherwell supporter’s bookshelf.  To guarantee a copy get your order placed here.

A further incentive, if any was needed, is that all profits will go the Well Society and given that all contributions to the Society will be matched by Les Hutchison’s Double Your Money scheme, this venture deserves lots of support.

Fans can offer their suggestions for inclusion by submitting ten nominations by email to Vote@MFC1886.com or by post to MFC Podcast, 6 Ross Gardens, Motherwell, ML1 3BE or by completing a form at any of the Well Society stations on match-day.
