Prediction v Dundee (h)

The mid-week cup tie against East Fife couldn’t have come at a better time for us. A nice comfortable win to get the confidence on the up again before two vital home games.

A healthy queue for the East Stand
It is our first home game since the heroics against Celtic and we will need to approach this game with exactly the same enthusiasm and determination that was evident on Sept. 10th. Dundee have plenty of silky skills especially up front so to give them time on the ball to display those skills will be playing a dangerous game. The old adage of the best form of defence is attack will need to be followed on Saturday to avoid exposing our sometimes suspect defence to too much pressure. Hopefully Terry will impress on the whole side the need to press Dundee in all areas of the pitch for the full 90 minutes but beware the counter attack.

So far this season Dundee have found it difficult to deposit the ball into the back of the onion bag especially away from home. Our back four will have to work hard and concentrate if they want to contain players like Caballero, Nacho Novo and Sara but Dundee are certainly beatable.

Our recent home record against Dundee is good having beaten them on their last two visits to Fir Park. I certainly think we can keep that run going on Saturday and earn all 3 points.
