Prediction v Hearts (h)

Although we still have a few suspensions to get over we are beginning to get players back from injury. McFadden has not played enough games for us this season but hopefully with him back to full fitness and stung by the recent criticism from Berti Vogts he is ready to perform to his potential and influence games again. We need a big performance from him soon not only to get a win but also to boost the confidence and morale of his team mates and the support. After another red card on Sunday we must also hope that we can keep it at eleven a-side for the full ninety minutes.

Hearts have got a fairly talented side together and will be exceptionally difficult to beat. They do tend to be fairly inconsistent however and I think that if there is a weakness to be exploited it will be at the back. We managed to score twice against them in the last meeting in September so we can certainly do the same again. Hopefully this time our defence will stand up and be counted and contribute to a pleasant evening.

I hate the phrase “turning the corner” so lets just say I am hoping for 3 points.
