Chucky's Rangers' Game Reaction

The day started badly for the team at the bus was held up in traffic their delayed arrival meant a rush into the pre match warm-up.

Butcher had to play the game without McFadden, Leitch and a couple of others. He gave a debut to David Cowan who played very well at right back. Corrigan had another good game and surely the Scotland manager look at him for a call up. Other good performances came from Lasley and Stevie Ferguson.

The game started and it took the Gers just one minute to score. A cross ball from Arteta allowed Amoruso was there to give Rangers the lead . Motherwell calmed their nerves and started to play some good of football in the middle of the park although we got only one shot on target. As the game went into the second half Rangers scored a second goal when Lovenkrands got onto the end of a cross and headed past Woods and that was it. As Rangers fans started to leave the ground De Boer scored the third.

Motherwell did get a shot at the end but that rolled just past the post.

The game had both good and bad points but if there was one factor which really annoyed the ‘Well fans. The Rangers’ band! Still, we made up our own words for some of the songs.

Now we have to travel north for the CIS cup game against Aberdeen. We will have Faddy back and hopefully Leitch and Pearson both fit. After that we have a home game against Livingston, who came back from two goals down and scored three in nine minutes to beat Dundee United 3-2. After that game we make our first visit to Firhill and hopefully in these two league games we can get at least four points. After that we are back at home for two games against Killie and Dundee United. Then you will see us back on the road as we go to Hibs.

Hopefully the next run of games will see us picking up points and try to aim for a top six finish at the end of the season.

C’mon The Well
