Welcome to Chucky's Corner

I will be doing updates for you on how we have been getting on this season. I will also try and get all the latest news and gossip for you in and around Fir Park.

1stly Livi away. We played well there coming back from two goals down but wedidn’t have enough fire power to score another one. I think our best player would have probably been Leitch.

2ndly, we played Partick at home where we didn’t really get going and struggled and we had to do with a draw. The only bad news from this game was that former well player Alex Burns scored the goal for Partick.

3rdly we played away to Killie an that was a really good game. I have never seen a referee as good as Alan Freeland. He sent off three Killie players and that helped Motherwell to a 3-0 win with goals from Ramsay, Pearo and Faddy. The atmosphere there was very good as there were 1200 ‘Well fans there supporting the team.

4thly, we were away to Dundee United and here the game finished 1-1 but it should have been about 3-0 at half time to us as we had all the chances but just didn’t take them. Our goal came from Pearo and he was in my view our man of the match.

5thly, we were at home to Hibs and this was what I call a mess of a game. We were a complete mess and Hibs should have won by a lot more than 2-0 but I am not moaning cause I didn’t mind losing 2-0. That was a pretty good score before a game against Celtic.

This must have been the best game of the season. We played really hard and the team worked for each other and that was the difference from the game against Hibs. We started well and made Celtic chase the ball. We both made early chances but Larsson missed a couple of good ones when he tried to chip Woods but he was too good and wasn't fooled and made an easy save. It was ten minutes from the end when Butcher decided to bring on Motherwell man Shaun Fagan. A couple of minutes later McFadden had the ball then played a neat ball under Paul Lamberts legs where Hammell was waiting. He ran onto it and played in a very neat cross and all Fagan had to do was to be composed and head home and that is what the young Motherwell lad did for his first Motherwell goal.

A few minutes later McFadden latched onto a long ball and ran across the box until Ulrik Laursen brought him down and Willie Young gave a penalty. James took it and scored. 2-0 Motherwell the fans went crazy.

Celtic sub Hartson pulled a goal back but it was worth nothing as Motherwell went on to win the game. Before the Hearts game we sit at seventh. Today, the 15 September, we travel to Hearts and I will give you a little info on what happened when I get back from the game.

Join in later when I will give you more on Chucky’s Corner.
