Mike's Moan: Almost A Shot On Target!!!

The conditions at the Falkirk stadium weren't the best, it always seems to be blustery there and bloody cold. But we coped with them ok, and after going behind showed great character to bounce back and win. Both goals were taken well, especially Darren Smith's as I think everyone is aware that there are a few in the team that would not have slid in quite as effectively.

The team is starting to look quite solid again, with us having a regular back four and a solid spine through the middle. Smith, Craigan, Kerr and Skippy are all playing well and if we can keep them all fit we have a good chance to move up the league.

Next up we have good old ICT at Fir Park, what are the odds we play them off the park again and lose 1-4. We have never been able to cope with their style of play at home, and I think this is basically down to the fact we have never been able to take our chances when they have come along. For this reason I think Maurice has to give the aforementioned Clarkie a rest and play either Keegan or McCormack. David is still putting in a good shift for the team but he has to develop more of a goal threat, as apart from the shot that led to the second goal his attempts on goal against the Bairns were woeful.

If we play well I think we will win. Inverness are not a particularly good side, but they are stuffy.(Surely Barry bloody Wilson cant score another wonder goal!?) Hopefully Skippy will continue his goal run and get a couple on Saturday - that would set us up nicely for the St Mirren game.

Again are recent record there is poor, with the game on the first day of the season one of the worst matches I have ever seen. Can we win? Yes. Will we win? Who knows??? We have better players and are on a much better run of form, but whenever we expect to win we quite often fall flat on our faces.

Another two ugly wins will do, and if this happens, the prospect of top six football could become a reality. Even if it doesn't happen, at least we are moving (slowly) in the right direction. (I'm not mentioning the cup in case I curse us)

And one more thing, c'mon MM we are allowed to sign players on pre-contract agreements so get to it!!!
