Report: Dundee 3 'Well 1

The same team which started against United took the field against a Dundee side which read like a page from a foreign phone book. They have several quality players and the young 'Well team will be pleased to have held them until the break.

Indeed we may have taken the lead had Greg Strong kept his head with the ball at his feet on the six yard line in thirteen minutes. We looked good for the first twenty minutes with several good runs from Nicholas on the right wing. There were warning signs on show too as Nic's defensive qualities were exposed.

Dundee also had early chances and they got the opener when Ready failed to clear and Sara scored in off the post - but he made amends on the halftime whistle when he got his head to the third far post corner and looped it over Langfield.

Elliott ran tirelessly once again and his effort almost bore fruit just before we equalised. His pace will continue to cause defenders problems this season.

We made no changes at the break and were soon under the cosh. The new Dens man, Ketsbaia skinned Ready thirty five yards out and ran in on Brown with the defender puffing in his wake. He gave the goalie no chance.

Another followed when Caballero was given too much room in the box. The difference in class between the strikers in both teams was made clear later in the half when both Kelly and Elliott had wonderful chances to grab one back. Both shots were from around the penalty spot and both shots struck the keeper.

Plenty for the new management team to consider before the next game at home to Dunfermline on Saturday.
