Report: 'Well 0 Celtic 4

Celtic started the game attacking the DC stand - the 'Well section consisted of the two blocks nearest the Main Stand (hardly a spare seat to be seen) while four or five hundred Celtic fans lounged in the other three blocks. Those Celtic fans were quickly on their feet celebrating when Lambert was presented with a free shot from six yards and made no mistake in sticking it under debutant DuBourdeau.

Francois gets stuck in

It looked like we would be over run but a bit of poor finishing and luck saw us to the half hour mark. We then had our best spell of the match and for fifteen minutes or so we almost looked like we would compete.

Alas, no. The second half was a disaster. We were given a lesson. Of course we contributed to our own downfall. They went two up when Larsson got his first after the defence allowed him a header on the six yard line from a corner. To give them another boost, Pearson took a needles swipe at Agathe and was dismissed.

The game was over. But they carried on and toyed with us for the rest of the half. The twenty one year old Francois DuBourdeau in goals made a couple of saves. (I hope he doesn't think that all SPL games are like this!) and Soloy had a fair game in the midfield.

They scored another two but made many more chances.

To our credit, the lads kept plugging away but it was a lost cause. Thank goodness we have a couple of weeks off!

As for the 'experiment' with the Cooper Stand? Never again, please!
