Ross County Hold ‘Well

Last updated : 12 July 2006 By Firparkcorner

We started with a reasonably strong side – Reynolds was the left back and new boy Ross McCormack partnered Clarkson upfront. Despite some half chances for us early on Ross County were the better side and unlucky only to go in one up at half time.

By mid-way through the second half Maurice Malpas was ringing the changes and they had the desired effect. When County were reduced to ten men for an off the ball incident we began to dominate but a goal seemed elusive until the late stages. Jim Paterson was the ‘hero' smartly finishing off a nice move to ensure we left with some pride intact.

While the result was not too important, the fact we struggled against Ross County is a slight concern. However, everything must be aimed for being ready on July 30th there is no point in worrying just yet!
