The Corner continued to push on and it was no surprise when Tony O'Neill made it 3-1. A corner kick from Michael Anderson led to a scramble in the penalty box and the ball broke to the midfielder who made no mistake in sending a sweet half-volley into the top corner of the net. Davie Tonner rounded up the first-half scoring with a neat finish to send FPC in 4-1 at the interval.
The second half started as the first had ended - with a Tonner goal. The veteran striker showed remarkable skill when sent clean through to leave the 'keeper stranded with a cute chip which will surely be a contender for goal of the season.
With little more than half an hour left to play, and a 5-1 cushion leaving the game looking as good as over, Fraser made several changes in the side, introducing six fresh faces, including last weeks goal hero Gerard Maguire, to the fray.
A hopeful cross into the box was caught by a wicked gust of wind to force Graeme Farmer to drop the ball into the net to make the score 5-2. Shortly afterwards, a tidy finish from a quick breakaway made it 5-3 and the 'Corner nerves started to jangle. Another one-on-one finish made it 5-4, and before the ball had even gone out of play again, a dramatic equaliser had been scored with less than two minutes on the clock.
It looked as though FPC had contrived to throw away a four goal lead, when another couple of hurried substitutions saved the managers blushes. Joe Lynas was re-introduced to the action and he scored the decisive winner with a lob over the goalkeeper with virtually the last kick of the ball to settle an action-packed thriller.
