Scott Anderson opened the scoring midway through the first half, latching onto a Brazil pass from a long kick out, and clipping it diagonally over the onrushing Livi keeper from 7 yards.

Anderson was involved in the build-up to the second FPC goal on the half hour. From the halfway line he fed the ball down the left channel to Tonner, who spotted Totten making up ground from central midfield. He squared the ball into his path, and Totten took a step to the side before firing a pinpoint shot low in off the right hand post from just outside the box.

Manger McKnight was pleased with the first half efforts and had more to celebrate on 63 minutes. Fullback Watson strayed forward and received the ball wide right in the final third, from where he swung in a tempting high front post cross. Brazil jumped with the Livi stopper to challenge for the ball, the keeper getting his hands to it first, but it slipped from his grasp and dropped over the line for a soft third goal.

Tonner was denied the fourth goal when he smashed a loose ball first time from just ten yards out, but the goalkeeper somehow found himself in the right place to throw up a hand and turn it over the bar. Livingston had been well marshalled as an attacking force until then, but a small lapse at right back allowed the tall striker to cut in from the right and curl an excellent lob over Glenny into the top corner. There was no threat of a fightback on 79 minutes though, when Tonner robbed the centre half as he hesitated in possession, and this time made no mistake as he fired and angled drive in at the keeper’s near post.
