The results on Saturday ensured that FPC were participating in the Plate competition and to their delight they were presented with a bye in the first round. It may be that the extra hours rest allowed a few heads to clear.

At noon they faced Ipswich and dispatched them with ease. Goals from Mitch, Gilly and Marshall let them progress to the quarter finals where they faced Notts Forrest.
Moysie scored an equaliser against Forrest and the game went into golden goal extra time. Junior got the goal that mattered and FPC FC were in the semi final.
Next up was Man U. Again the first goal went to the opposition but Marshall and Junior (2) scored to ensure a 3-1 victory.
FPC were now in the Plate Final where they met the team from Aberdeen. As was the custom, again they conceded the first goal and again they equalised with Del scoring his first of the tournament.
Golden goal extra time looked likely but a goal for Aberdeen in the last minute lead to the first defeat of the day. A good time was had by all!
