Motherwell make short trip to Hamilton

It has to be said that this game, as a derby, draws a range of differing opinions from the Motherwell support. Very few fans would view this as the big derby but with Airdrie having kicked the bucket and their reincarnation struggling pathetically, it is this or nothing. Some people still don't have any ill-feeling towards Accies given they have, literally, been out of our league for so long but at the same time this local spat is surely of greater interest than another idenitkit trip to Dundee, Perth or Dunfermline.

Manager of the month
Hamilton would certainly love to beat us and took great delight in doing so twice last season. We did trounce them in the last meeting between the teams though and as we're flying high in fourth place there is no reason - other than perhaps the curse of the manager of the month - not to be confident.

Jim Gannon has revealed Hammell is still doubtful and with Reynolds doing a solid, if unspectacular, job last time we could well line up with the same eleven as faced Hearts. We certainly shouldn't be scared of playing two up front against a side like Hamilton but we will need to track back quickly to match their 5-4-1 when it turns into a more positive 3-4-3.

Hamilton picked up a brilliant 2-0 win at St Mirren last time so they too will go into this game with their heads high. We should hopefully have just a bit more quality though and if we play to our best a 2-1 win should not be beyond us.
