Worldnet Diary - Friday

Last updated : 14 July 2005 By Speedie

The final training session has went well, it was a bit heavy and as a result my left foot can’t kick a ball; bit of a problem considering I’m third choice left back this weekend. Fir Park Corner’s number 1 alcoholic Ross Mitchell did miss out on the session, claiming that he was working late. Very unlikely.

Mitch may be forgiven but Chris Miller is certainly not. The former Glasgow University student has cancelled his trip to Leeds for a few more weeks of goat’s cheese and plate smashing in Greece. He’ll be working in an Irish bar on one of the islands for the foreseeable future. This leaves the team without the umpteenth choice right mid and more importantly a photographer for the trip south. So, if you can use a camera phone to take dodgy pictures of the FPC night out antics we’d like to hear from you.

Scott Mullen returns to the FPC fold, looking forward to seeing the ‘Mullen Rouge’ back in action. His drinking antics are legendary. The Friday night booze fest last year caused him to combust on his room carpet. He went on to become the team’s top goalscorer for the weekend. As to how that happened is anyone’s guess.

Speedie in Frazzle praise shock
On a more serious note I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Mr David Fraser for the work he has done in the past 9 months. His appointment gave the team a kick that was required. I’d go so far as to say that we wouldn’t even be discussing Worldnet never mind going if it wasn’t for Frazzle. Instead, we go south with an entourage of around 25 ‘Well fans for the tournament with a new set of strips, rain jackets, footballs and a soiled claret and amber wig. Well done sir you deserve a lot of credit.

FPC would like to thank Speedie for his articles in the build up to Leeds and wish the team all the best for the tournament.
