Did you read about that Celtic fan that El Hadj Diouf gobbed on ?Apparently he’s making a claim against the player for the psychological trauma he’s gone through as a result of the unsavoury incident!?!?!?!This whole episode was a lot of nonsense but this just puts the seal on it.First off what’s he trying to do anyway? If a player comes into your end, you help them back up on the park if needed - you don’t go slapping their heads. And Diouf was just as bad with that bull about the slap on his napper reminding him of his ancestors past as slaves, as some sort of justification for being a dirty wee toad.Your Jungle Jim claims he’s been unable to go into a football ground since because of the trauma. That’s just complete crap.Your Jungle Jim has thought of a rather crude way of topping up his giro and I for one find it bloody annoying that he’ll be getting legal aid for something that should have been knocked on the head long since.Using the same criteria that Jungle Jim has, we could claim a fortune given the emotional trauma we face every time we visit his team’s sty of a ground. With any luck he’ll become a victim of one of those Masonic conspiracies they so like to talk about and end up being out of pocket!Chancer.

While I’m talking about Celtic,I can’t believe how Martin O’Neill continually gets away with his whines about lack of squad depth, how the fixtures are piling up and they need a rest. They must have double the amount of the players everyone else has. That day at FirPark recently where they were “so” stretched, so stretched they still were able to leave full internationalists on the bench !What gets me is that lazy journos lap this up, especially when it saves them having to criticise Celtic. If O’Neill’s that stretched for resources why was the likes of Kevin McBride allowed to join us on loan? Why doesn’t he look to his reserve team, which currently lead their division?More to the point, why are all the media men (with the exception of Bill Leckie) scared to make these kind of observations in their papers ?

Tommy Burns for Scotland on a permanent basis?Aye, I’ll crack the jokes! Well he really showed he was his own man with that squad selection for the Sweden game eh?He picks Alan Combe, then right away he states he won’t get a game and then includes Kevin McNaughton because, get this-he saw him have a good game against Celtic and Jimmy Calderwood “ says ” he’s played like that all season. So on the basis of one game and because Jimmy “says ”, McNaughton’s in.Statements like that only serve to wind up ‘Well fans who have championed the case of the likes of Kaiser and Stevie Hammell.Sorry Tommy, you’ve had your chance already and blown it.
