Ainsworth commits for two years

C:WindowsTempphp2211.tmpHe joined Motherwell in August 2013 on a short term loan from Rotherham that was extended until the end of the season.  Stuart McCall kept him for the 2014/15 season and now Ian Baraclough has him tied up for a further two seasons.

The speedy winger has contributed some spectacular goals for the club but there have been far more assists.  The goals in each of the play-offs underlined his value to the team and the manager made it clear that he hoped the club’s offer of a further extension would be accepted.

Speaking MFC TV the now bearded winger said, "I'm very pleased for the club and for the family.  I'll try to replicate the form of last season.  The finish to the season was brilliant."

Defender Joe Chalmers was the first close season signing as we rebuild the team and he and Ainsworth will start their pre-season training later this week befor the team moves to Holland for a training camp and a few friendlies.
