Bryan Jackson Q&A on FirParkCorner

Last updated : 24 October 2003 By Firparkcorner

The session will take place on Tuesday 28 October at around 7pm. Bryan will answer questions on the messageboard for about an hour. The board is open now and questions are invited.

Bryan works for PKF, a large firm of accountants and business advisors, and he was appointed in April last year. He had earlier involvement with football when he performed the administrator role at Clydebank and thankfully the outcome on this occasion seems likely to be that the club will be restored to normal trading.

He made the tough business decisions which cost the jobs of players, office staff and others as the club cut running costs in an attempt to match income with expenditure. It seems that this happy balance is almost within reach and that the club, with the aid of Faddy’s transfer fee, is one the way back to business as usual.

It also seems that many fans accept that the way forward for the club is to ensure that we do not build up debts year on year and that we have to learn to live within our means.

Bryan has always taken the view that he should be as open as is practicable in letting fans know the current financial state of the club. He has had meeting with the supporters groups and has kept us updated through media interviews. And his decision to accept an FPC invitation is consistent with that view.

Now it’s over to you – what would you like to know? What questions what questions can you pose? Please check the questions which are already posted to avoid repetition.
