Busy Month Ahead

When this week's game against Kilmarnock passes there will be the exciting prospect of six games in December to keep Motherwell fans engrossed as the holiday season approaches. Four of those are at home and they all fall into the 'winnable' category.

A decent haul of points when Gretna, Aberdeen, Falkirk and Dundee United visit should ensure that we are securely placed in the top six. Points from either of the two away games at Tynecastle and Ibrox can be regarded as seasonal gifts.

Expectations are, understandably, high given our refreshingly entertaining start to the season and we must look on these four games as an opportunity to secure at least eight or nine points before the year end.

We are free of serious injuries and there are no suspensions listed to restrict the manager's selection. It is remarkable how few injuries occur in a successful team, everyone strives to play!

The club has 'half season tickets' on sale from Monday December 3 and these become active for the first home game after Christmas (against Dundee United).

Let's hope that all the plaudits which have been raining down on the team for their recent form will not go unnoticed as folk struggle to buy their seasonal gifts. The solution is easy - if they don't have a season ticket, buy one!
