There was evident frustration at the loss of the two United goals.  He accepted that they were well taken but felt that the scorers were unchallenged.  When asked about the team selection he explained that Francis-Angol merited his place – he was our best player against St Mirren.  There’s no doubt that his pace and trickery led to the delivery that the opening goal.

There was delight at our two fine goals and some surprise at Ainsworth’s cracker – “I’ve not seen that in his locker” was the quote.

The weekend’s games see us sharing third place with Aberdeen and we have an unbeaten run stretching to four games.  A win at Livingston on Wednesday will put the seal on an encouraging season’s start.

Old pals act...

There was an interesting side show at Tannadice as the BT Sports pre-match chat was sited at the edge of the pitch.  The sight of a presenter and his two pundits trying to keep their notes from flying in the breeze while chatting to camera raised a smile.  We were also treated to the sight of our old favourite Stephen Craigan interviewing his former team mates during the warm up.  What next? Will we be treated to the manager’s tactics talk?
