Hibs face Aberdeen (h), Dundee United (a), St Mirren (a) and Rangers (h) while our last four are Kilmarnock (a), Aberdeen (h), Rangers (a) and St Mirren (h). It looks like a similar test for both teams.

Our manager was honoured for Motherwell's February form with the Manager of the Month award. We played six times during the shortest month but only three were SPL fixtures. The wins over Hamilton and Inverness together with the draw against Celtic completed a nine game unbeaten run which propelled us from joint bottom to sixth. He deserved the recognition. Equally impressive was that the award was not followed by the traditional defeat which such a prize usually precedes.

In his interviews last week McGhee lavished praise on his squad. "I've said all along that when we have our best team out there, we're the best team outside of the Old Firm", he said. It was not too long ago that we were being told that we were "punching above our weight", a phrase guaranteed to annoy both players and supporters. It makes a refreshing change to hear a Motherwell manager speak in such positive terms and the effect that has on the whole club cannot be underestimated.

The next game sees us visit Rugby Park. We have suffered two losses in this season's meetings with Kilmarnock and have yet to score a goal. If our hopes of a top half finish are to last then that pattern will have to be reversed.
