Falkirk 24h On

The concerns expressed by the manager and the players about the difficulties in organising proper training sessions during the recent spate of wet and windy weather are well made and we need to hope that the ten day break will restore a freshness to tired legs.

The same team which built a reputation for speed and fitness in the early part of the season was put under the cosh towards the end of the game and Graham Smith said that Falkirk looked the fresher outfit.

McGhee made reference to our lack of an "edge". That was clearly demonstrated in the first half when we failed to convert any of the chances and if we are to remain contenders for third spot the strikers will have to regain that elusive final touch.

Our next game is against a Hibs side who seem to be on form. It promises to be tough. They have scored eleven in their last four matches and we rarely find success in Leith. Let's hope we can find the net and make a contest of it.
