Until the rain interrupted part of the season there were many names in the frame to win the competition but over the last few weeks it has whittled down to a four horse race between EddieSteelman, Megastar, Couttsy and Dundee-Steelman to finish in the top three. All have been there or thereabouts and have amassed very healthy totals over the season.
Dundee-Steelman just missed out of the top three with 152 points. Couttsy takes third place with 156, Megastar second with 160 and EddieSteelman a worthy winner with 163.
Between the 73 participants over the season we have had 810 predictions of the correct winning teams. Runner up Megastar did this more than anyone else with 25. Andy1886 named 19 Motherwell scores exactly, more than anyone else. The opposition score was correctly identified by Megastar and Weealphie 18 times. Eddiesteelman and Bainy were best at naming scorers with 37 correct predictions each. Of those who predicted more than once the best average score was 4.625 from Speedie.
As always it's been a fun competition, which I hope you have all enjoyed. I need to thank Ramage and Handsome-devil for their assistance when I was away a couple of times to get the scores up for you. Cheers guys. No doubt we'll come back to do it again next year and it would be great to see the entry increase again and I might get to type the 'Official Alania Vladikavkaz Thread'. Happy times.
