Good Luck Mark

There has been no close season for this team as they have to be in peak form for the three group games. Insomniacs will be delighted to know that BBC Scotland will be showing the games live - Japan on July at 10.15pm, Nigeria on July 5 at 3.45am and Croatia on July 8 at 3am.

Motherwell fans need no reminding of the terrific season Mark had last season. He was thrown in following a spate of injuries to the defence and from his first game against Aberdeen in mid-August it became clear that the boy had come of age.

He made forty one appearances in 2006/7 and collected two goals and one red card for his efforts. He was awarded a long overdue young player of the month award in April and stepped up a level to the U21 team for a friendly against Germany in February.

It will be interesting to discover what role his new club manager has for him in the season ahead. Craigan and McLean will be available and the reports that McGhee is tempted to bring Virgo into the team suggests that Reynolds might find himself at left back or left midfield.

However, in the meantime he needs to concentrate on the Scotland role and we wish him every success in Canada.

The full squad is
