The obvious response is why not? We are in the lofty position of second, if only by an exceedingly small margin, while the struggling Jambos have slumped to 11th.
They clearly have some talented youngsters but not every new player is a great hope at Tynecastle – some are clearly fillers. They are used for their inexpensive wages, and if it were not for a combination of the League Cup final and their financial status, John McGlynn would surely be under severe pressure. But despite that, we have not managed even one goal against them this season and a solitary point from two games represents a poor return against a struggling side.

They lost again on Wednesday but after our own turnaround from the weekend, we know better than anyone that a strong reaction is possible. If we play to our best, not only can we win but we probably will. However, anything less is likely to lead to more frustration and another missed chance to earn ourselves breathing space in the race for Europe.
Hateley, Kerr and Angol are all question marks for various reasons and Hammell doesn't seem entirely fit either. On the other hand, McFadden's 70 minutes against Celtic suggests he is slowly but surely finding his feet and the performances of Ojamaa and Law means confidence will be high among the creative types.
The only other SPL game this weekend is the Highland derby, meaning all of the European contenders will soon be level on 29 games. With one or both of Inverness and Ross County certain to drop points, victory for us would be a massive boost and we can be optimistic of doing just that through a 2-0 win.
