Hibs visit for Sunday lunch

Following our defeat in Perth last weekend we had hoped that a midweek win against Aberdeen would restore the feel good factor at the club.  Unfortunately that was not to be and we need to focus on Sunday's game to get back on track.  Our recent run has not been encouraging.  Three losses in the last four outings have shaken the early season optimism and there will be a increasing pressure on the team to reverse what we hope to be a short term dip.

McFadden's absence for the whole of October should have him banging on the manager's door.  Appearances on the bench for the last couple of games must suggest that he is close to a return and if ever there was a time for some of his skills to lift the spirits, it has to be this weekend.

However, isn't it the case that there's always someone worse off than yourself?  Hibs lost their LC quarter final to the young Hearts side that are adrift at the bottom of the table.  The defeat from the other side of Edinburgh caused a small protest outside Easter Road and calls for Fenlon to be sacked.  Yet they are only four points behind Motherwell.

Their captain has apologised to Hibee fans for his dismissal on Wednesday and he'll be suspended for the  Fir Park match.  Like us, Hibs had the balance of possession in midweek but failure to find the net cost them  They have scored 9 goals in the 11 SPFL fixtures to date.

So what will happen on Sunday?  Two sides suffering from self pity or will one on them shake free of the gloom and get back on the rails?  Let's hope we have some cheer with a 2-0 win.
