Latest 'Well recruit - Casper Sloth

Motherwell have added Danish midfielder Casper Sloth as the fourth new recruit for next season’s squad.  He comes with eight caps and plenty of experience and is sure to be an asset at Fir Park.

It is fair to say that Casper has not risen to the heights that his emerging talent suggested but Stephen Robinson’s knack of improving players at all levels suggests that this may be an important signing.

The manager is quoted on the official site, “He has been over to train with us and impressed us not only with his ability on the park, but his desire, his hunger to be here and with a bit of a point to prove.

He’s a very talented, technical footballer and I look forward to working with him, making him even better and watching him shine again.”

Sloth says, “Insanely happy and proud to have signed a contract @motherwellfc . Can’t wait to get started”

He joins Liam Polworth, Jake Carroll and Declan Gallagher in the new boys corner in the dressing room.  The players return for pre-season training on 19 June before setting off to Belfast for a training camp and a couple of friendly games ahead of the Betfred Cup.
