Llaneli preview

Jim Gannon will have had a few training sessions with the team but it seems likely he will have to rely on the advice of Craigan for tactics and team selection, not that there are many options to choose from. With Clarkson off, Murphy and Sutton must really step up a gear and lift their performance, both in terms of scoring and general play.

Here we go...
The midfield will be without both Hughes and Klimpl from last season which means McGarry, Fitzpatrick and Darren Smith will all be competing to play with Lasley surely all but guaranteed a starting spot somewhere. Hammell in midfield is a possibility given our up and coming youngsters - Saunders, Page, Hutchison - are defensively focussed.

Paul Quinn hasn't officially left yet but it seems unlikely he will be used here. With Fraser replacing Smith in goals it is clear that not one single area of the team will resemble what we put out last season and it is probably not a stretch to say every area will be weaker - at least for the time being.

Llaneli are a small club in a small league but we are no great shakes ourselves right now and circumstances dictate we are not at our strongest. The longer they can go without conceding, the harder things will be for us.

This may not be an entertaining game but we can optimistically think we'll do enough to win. A 2-0 victory should see us travel south in good spirits next week.
