McFadden Wins Young Player of the Year

This is McFadden’s first full season as a player in with the big team and while he has been inconsistent, he has played a large part in keeping us alive in the relegation battle.

Faddy finding the net
His temperament and lack of tackling ability has meant that he has missed several games for us this season but he has played around thirty games, finding the net on fifteen occasions. Faddy has also set up numerous goals for others and while he has his critics, he is an undoubted talent.

James has also earned Scotland caps along with being a regular fixture in the Scotland U21 side. Berti Vogts has been lavish in his praise for Faddy and it looks like he features in the manager’s plans for the international side.

Winning this award – as voted for by his fellow professionals – shows just how highly rated McFadden is within the game. He will surely move on to bigger and better things in the summer but hopefully he will have found just a wee bit more magic before the end of the season. A couple of goals next week would be a good start!
