Call ups

There have been a series of calls from Hampden as the nation looks to our youngsters for some upcoming squads. The U19s have a busy schedule in October and McHugh and Meechan have been named in the 18-strong squad for the trip to Austria. Forbes and Murphy are in the U21 squad for a match against Belarus on 10 October, this game will be played at St Mirren Park.

It was no surprise to discover that Craigan is named to face the Czech Republic in Northern Ireland's World Cup qualifier. Cap number 44 awaits.

CIS Cup

It has been agreed that the CIS Cup quarter final will be played at St Mirren Park on Tuesday 27 October with a 7.45pm kick off. Prices are £15 with £10 for concessions and £5 for under 16s.

Goalkeeping coach

Stuart Kerr has been appointed goalkeeping coach following the departure of Colin Meldrum to Aberdeen. He has already been in public view at the last couple of games putting the keepers through their paces in the pre-match warm ups.

Zemmama report

The SPL are said to be waiting for their match delegate's report before proceeding with any investigation into the allegation that something was thrown at him from the East Stand last Saturday. Despite the provocation that his ill-judged celebrations produced there can be no excuse for any player being the target of such treatment and, if found guilty, the club will have no option but to face the consequences.  The club say that they are investigating and have asked fans to pass on any information that might help identify any offender.
