Motherwell add Sammon to squad

Conor Sammon has joined Motherwell on loan until the end of the season.  The striker spent the last campaign with Partick Thistle on loan from his home team Hearts.

The 31 year old, in his own words, will bring qualities similar to our existing strike force, “physical, strength and quick”.

Stephen Robinson has spoken of the need to add to our attack and in Sammon he has found and experienced striker with deep knowledge of the Scottish game.  His contract with Hearts expires at the end of the season.

The manager is quoted on the MFC website, “I’m delighted to add Conor to our squad.  I‘ve been keen to add another option in the striking department and he will fit our style of play perfectly”.

He will wear the number 19 shirt.

It would appear that our style of play this season will be similar to that which delivered last year's success.  It may not please the purist but it delivers results.
