The results ends the young Scots' hopes of qualification for the European U21 Championship.  Away fixtures against Macedonia and Iceland remain but at best we can finish only fourth in the group.

Scotland were one down at the break but a further three in the second, including a late penalty that led to a red card for Souttar ended our slim hope of progress.  Chalmers was booked.

The Motherwell pair will return to join their team-mates as they prepare for Saturday's game in Dingwall.  Speaking to the Motherwell Times Keith Lasley has said that the training, under McFadden's direction has gone well and that the new boys, Belic and Bowman, are settling well to the squad.
