Motherwell Prediction League

Last updated : 19 August 2003 By Firparkcorner

The FPC league began in season 98/99 and has become a regular habit in the weekly pre-match build up for many ‘Well fans on the net.

Last year the league was hosted by FootyMad’s Beat the Manager system but the greedy folk at Football DataCo have insisted that a licence is needed to use the copyrighted football fixture list and they want thousands of pounds to allow the game to run.

As a result the format is changing. A new Prediction League messageboard has been established and FPC regular ‘Evenflow’ has volunteered to manage this season’s competition. (Many thanks)

The rules are straightforward.

“Each week you predict the up-and-coming game's results in the appropriate thread.

You will get 10 points for an exact score prediction (i.e you predicted 'Well 0 Dundee 3 on Saturday)

You will get 5 points for predicting the right "winning team" (i.e you guessed 'Well 0 Dundee 2 on Saturday, you would get 5 points for correctly predicting Dundee would win)

You will get 1 point for guessing the correct scorers (i.e If you predicted 'Well 0 Dundee 1 and said Barry Smith would score, you would get the one additional point for guessing the right scorer. Please note, you can only nominate the number of scorers depending on your predicted result e.g if you said 1-1 you can only put forward two scorers”

Have you submitted your forecast yet?
