Motherwell start at home to Hibs

Other highlights include a New Year's Day derby in Hamilton and a visit from Rangers on Boxing Day.

wellflagThere doesn't seem to be much room for complaint this time around as the distribution of games seems fair.  The opening run presents us with what should be (!) straightforward home ties.  December looks tough though with away trips to Abedeen and United and an Old firm double header.

We visit Ibrox twice and Parkhead once in the pre-split part of the season.  Other notable information for travelling fans is that Dundee United and Aberdeen visit us twice but we make the long journey to Inverness twice - on 6 November and 5 March.

The last game before the split is a home fixture against Dundee United and, as ever, the post-split fixtures will give everyone a balanced 19 homes and aways if the teams finish in the same half of the league as last season.  Otherwise the usual moans and groans will re-appear.

We have another draw to enjoy next week.  The first two qualifying rounds of the Europa League will be arranged on Monday.  Motherwell will join the fun in the second round and we'll know our opponents only if we draw another team that enters at that round, otherwise we'll have to wait for the result of the first qualifying round before travel plans can be made.
