Motherwell v Hibs for a tenner!

beach_ballThe announcement on the club’s website says, “This game is shaping up to be absolutely vital in the race for fourth place in the SPL and we need Motherwell fans to come out in force and help the team make that final push.

“What Craig Brown and Archie Knox have managed to achieve in the short time they have been at Fir Park is nothing short of remarkable and finishing fourth and qualifying for Europe, for the third successive season, would be the icing on the cake.

“So, get your mums, dads, aunts, uncles, grans, grandpas, cousins, nephews and friends; anyone out to cheer on the team. This could well be our ‘Euro Final’ and we need an atmosphere inside the ground to reflect that so please come out and support us.”

What better chance for Motherwell fans to turn up in decent numbers to push the team over the Europa League starting line for the second successive season.  The offer also applies to the away support so we can expect a decent attendance in the South Stand and a cracking atmosphere into the bargain.

The only concern for Fir Park regulars is that The Mighty ‘Well have, in the past, failed to deliver when cut price offers are available. The old habit has been to cut prices, encourage some fringe supporters through the gates only to witness a claret and amber collapse.

Let’s hope that the trend ends and that we can celebrate with beach balls and sombreros as we secure fourth place and another European adventure!
