The newly laid pitch provided the ideal surface for the game but eagle eyed fans noticed that the home and away dugouts had been replaced by a pair of more spacious examples. Bucket seats provided for the back room staff and the subs appear to find the back roof an ideal height for a bit of support. Hi tech terracing barriers?

The back wall of the Cooper Stand now boasts a large hoarding advertising the ‘Davie Cooper Memorial Wall’. This fund raising idea continues to attract interest and both individual fans and corporate sponsors are having their names etched into the brickwork.

The win over Hearts set Saturday evening up for a party. Let’s hope we see many more victory celebrations at Fir Park in the coming season.
