Paul Hartley will have a similar view after his team recorded their first win in eleven attempts in Hamilton.  Dundee remain at the foot of the table partly due to their poor results at home – two draws and four defeats.

A snowy kick-off last time at Dens

While many suggest that the Dens Park side have not yet recovered from the loss of Stewart and Hemmings in the summer it might be that the pair that started in attack on Saturday could bring them hope.  Target man Haber was backed by Wighton and they will be seen as a test for McManus and Heneghan.  Our former favourite Tom Hateley will likely be in place of a back three that will strive to earn a clean sheet.

The news that Chris Cadden has agreed a contract extension gave every ‘Well fan a reason to smile.  The young midfielder has grown in stature with every game and his commitment to the Fir Park cause says much for the way our backroom staff go about their work.

Cadden combined well with Lucas and Clay in the heart of the midfield and provided a balance for Ainsworth on the other flank.  McMillan got another 90 minutes under his belt at left back and it would not be a surprise to see the same eleven given a chance to earn back to back wins.  There’s no reason why Lasley and Hammell might not start on the bench.

Both managers will stress the need for determination and attitude but if McDonald, Moult and Ainsworthplay anywhere near their best then we should return with three points after a 2-1 win.

Remember our last visit to Dens Park?
