Motherwell have the first of three home games on Sunday when Celtic arrive for a 2.15pm kick-off. Can we cause an upset?

The teams had different outcomes in their respective derbies last week; Celtis won the Glasgow encounter while Motherwell lost to Hamilton.

Celtic's last visit to Fir Park came in the middle of the intense three games in a week episode in November. Motherwell came within two minutes of ending the visitors' long unbeaten run and the they scraped a point thanks to a dodgy penalty. That trio of matches, at Hampden, Fir Park and Parkhead, drained our early season good form and signalled the start of a long struggle untill the winter break.

Our efforts have improved since January with three league wins and a couple of draws eaning us seventh place. Morale was further boosted by cup wins over Dundee and Hearts to deliver another trip to Hampden.

News of an training ground injury to Craig Tanner and his need for knee surgery is a blow. His important contributions in support of the striking pair played a vital part in our post-break recovery. Nadir Ciftci, on loan from Celtic, will not be asked to face his home club so there are a couple of openings for others to stake a claim.

Lustig and Simunovic are suspended will that give our forwards some hope?

Stephen Robinson has spoken of the positive attitude his charges will take into the game but it's hard to argue for anything other than an away win. We will give our best but a 2-1 loss would not be a surprise.
