Preview - Celtic (h)

It can be argued that the best time to play one of the Glasgow pair is immediately after disappointing setback. If that theory is correct then the chance to get back on track on the random surface which awaits the league leaders should be grabbed by the Motherwell team which failed to turn up on Thursday night.

Well fans in the mood

McGhee's "terrific" loan player, Sheridan, is not allowed to play so we will have to make at least one change to the starting eleven. Sutton would seem to be the obvious replacement but the manager's reluctance to field him of late might suggest that Murphy could get the nod. Of course, it is possible that we could start with only one up front but surely we would not adopt that tactic at home?

Celtic will be without the services of Robson and Maloney but they have plenty of options available and they have enough firepower to cause us lots of problems. They scored 4 on their last visit to Fir Park before half time though both Sutton and Clarkson made the score more repectable by the final whistle.

Only 8507 clicked the turnstiles at that meeting in September and with sections of the visiting support whining that they are being victimised because they are not gaining cut price entry there is a real possibility that we could see a poor turnout.

It is hard to predict anything other than an away win. Let's hope we can keep it down to 2-0.
