Preview - Hearts (a)

Pessimists will take note of the fact that we have taken only one point in our last seven games against the Tynecastle team while the optimists will point out that we have won our last three without conceding a goal.

Hearts are unbeaten their last five games but are currently seventh in the table. They have a few regulars who are considered doubtful for Saturday. Kingston is said to have been injured in a training session while Nade is recovering from a shoulder knock following last weekend's game.

Mark McGhee has all first team regulars on call and he'll be keen to reverse the defeat we suffered at the hands of Hearts at Fir Park early in September. That Monday night game saw the debut of Stephen Hughes in claret and amber and now that he has acclimatised to the SPL Motherwell will be hoping that he might make a difference this time around.

There is always a good atmosphere at Tynecastle and the noise will fire up our players just as much as the home team. We'll be back in Edinburgh for the fourth round cup tie in the middle of January and we would probably settle for a draw in both games - 1-1.

Remember the last time we played Hearts?
