Saints do 'Well a favour

St Mirren dominated the first half and took a deserved lead just before the half hour. Andy Dormam thrashed a fine shot into the net to beat Szamotulski (I'm sure I heard a cheer from the direction of Fir Park as it hit the net!). The home team lost a sucker goal in added time before the break. Steven Fletcher was the culprit.

Dormam almost grabbed his second within five minutes of the restart but he sliced his effort wide. Saints continued to be the team most likely to break the deadlock and the Hibs' keeper was kept busy. He had to be alert to prevent an own goal but at the other end Howard was called into action to tip a Hogg header over the bar.

The draw gives Hibs a one point advantage but they host Rangers on Sunday and they have to win to be certain of making the top half after the spit. If they fail to take all three points then Motherwell will leapfrog them with a win at Fir Park on Saturday.

It should be a cracking game at
Fir Park.
