The Magnificent Triple

The three, together with Darren Jack, are likely to be the last signings before the August 31 deadline and fans can now set about the task of predicting the likely line up for the opening few games of the season.

Perhaps the pick of the bunch is Khaled Kemas, a twenty three year old forward who has been released by Dundee. The Dundee-Mad editor says of him, “He was the main player I thought Dundee might have kept of all the out of contract players. He's fast, he's tricky, he runs straight at goal. Tactically, a bit naive, but with some work done on him by your management team he can be a great player, I kid you not.”

The defence will be bolstered by the acquisition of centre back Daniel Sengewald (from Royal Antwerp) and David Partridge, a defender that TB believes has real potential. on Partridge, Butcher said: "He is a well-balanced left-footed defender who will add an extra dimension to our game."

The German defender, 6ft 3in and 26 years old, was at the Stenhousemuir game earlier this week and it is believed he has a one year contract. The others are said to be on two year deals. The gaps in the back line caused by the disappearance of Deloumeaux, Ready and Strong now seem to be filled.

What remains for Terry Butcher is to bind together the new squad and to foster a spirit in the dressing room that will carry us through the season.

If the crowd respond in the same way as they did for the last few games of the season then the players will surely respond.
